April Corbin is a freelance journalist, writer and editor based in Las Vegas.

April's freelance writing has appeared in various print and online publications, including Zagat.com, UAW-Community, Kentucky Living, The Voice-TribuneThe News and Tribune, MapQuest.com, StoryDesert Companion, InsiderLouisville.com, BestOfLasVegas.com, Louisville.com and chamber of commerce publications across the country. She specializes in news, features and translating complex ideas into everyday language.

April previously covered local government for the Las Vegas Sun and its sister publication, The Sunday. She has also worked as a staff writer at two alternative newsweeklies, LEO Weekly (Louisville, KY) and Las Vegas Weekly. She also spent more than a year and a half as the contracted blogger for PeopleForBikes and the Better Bike Share Partnership, where she documented North American bike share systems and their efforts to increase ridership in underserved communities.

April holds a master's degree in media studies from The New School and a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Outside of work, April enjoys rock climbing and exploring Nevada. She is a defender of selfies and snark. Her favorite animal is the octopus.
